Safe Status Check

The smallest possible agent-callable task: read-only, low risk, zero required config.

Replaces: giving an agent shell access just to check git status

This is the floor, not the ceiling — a single task with no env vars, no preconditions, risk_level: low, doing one read-only thing. It’s the pattern to reach for whenever you want an agent to be able to check something without any approval friction: no requires_approval, nothing for the agent to get wrong, nothing destructive it could do even if called incorrectly.
